I photographed my last wedding of the year recently at Southbrook in the Toowoomba region and what a beautifully intimate wedding it was.
Arjan and Ash chose to be married on Ash’s beautiful Grandmother’s property. I know that Ash’s grandmother had put a lot of care into her lovely gardens before the big day, and the plan was to always get married on the lawn in front of the family homestead.
That said, the rain nearly washed us out on the day! Driving up from Brisbane I was a wee bit worried we wouldn’t get the photographs we wanted and that the ceremony would have to be moved indoors.
As luck / fate would have it though, the rain stopped 5 mins before their ceremony and stayed away for the rest of the day. Damn lucky as it made for the best light!
We then made our way around the farm and got some great pics afterwards. (Big shout-out to Steve for shepherding us around in the farm car and for letting me get in covered in mud – haha).
What a fabulous day we had … it was the best wedding to close out 2020 and I’m so thankful I was a part of their beautiful day.
Thank you Arjan & Ashleigh, I hope you love this sneak peek!

Beautiful! Love a beautiful overcast day. As always stunning work, the gardens are stunning aren’t they and that little flower girl is oh so cute!
